As we all know, today we have lost TikTok. For most of you, you just lost an app, but to the content creators, we lost a huge part of our followers/subscribers. I know I’m not a huge creator, but I lost over 6,500 followers overnight. I also lost the exposure that I had gained for my shop with order packing videos and being able to promote new products. I lost a huge promotion platform for my YouTube channel, and I, like most creators I know, feel extremely discouraged by this change. How are we going to make up for this platform where all content was created equal and every post was fair game? Where are we going to advertise now? How will most creators keep making videos without TikTok’s amazing editing, or even CapCut for that matter?
Maybe it’s a good thing. We could all use a palate cleanser. But, we’re all going back to square one. I hope you found your clan and did something productive in the time we had TikTok, I know I did. I had a blast, and met some amazing, inspirational people I would’ve never met any other way. I’m extremely grateful for the time we had. I’m excited to move forward without the constant pressure of daily content that TikTok used to put on me, honestly. The competition was always in your face, and although inspiring, it was also detrimental to individuality and creativity. I hope to see you guys on the other apps. I’m not going any where. I’ve been at this for 5 years now, I won’t let the death of another app be my downfall.
